Minnesota Entrepreneur Network
Minnesota Entrepreneur Network (MNEN): An informal collaboration of entrepreneurs, inventors, mentors, investors and support organizations committed to growing the Minnesota entrepreneurial ecosystem. Entrepreneurs birth the new ideas, create jobs and create wealth. For them to succeed they need active and consistent support from the MNEN. The MNEN is committed to leveraging the breadth of resources across the state and to promoting citizen awareness.
All across our state, organizations and individuals are working with colleagues, their city, county and state government officials, their schools and post secondary institutions, their main streets and their industrial parks to identify ways to grow and sustain their local economies and the economy of our state as a whole. The competitions featured at this 2nd Annual Minnesota Entrepreneur Kick-off (Please let us know if there are others we have missed.) are an important part of that process. We commend these efforts and believe that through annually coming together from all across our state and from all sectors of this entrepreneurial support system to help these competitions recruit participants, mentors and investors and for an evening of connecting, fun and information we will further strengthen the network of connections and opportunity that is critical to a successful statewide entrepreneurial ecosystem.
This effort began in 2011 when TiE Minnesota was joined by DEED, MHTA, the BioBusiness Alliance and EDAM in hosting the Minnesota 2011 Entrepreneur Kick-off. A successful event that featured an Entrepreneur Bazaar to help familiarize the large attendance with the breadth of opportunity and the depth of entrepreneurial potential in our state and the first public introduction of the Minnesota Angel Network.
The Minnesota 2012 Entrepreneur Kick-off will include the Entrepreneur Bazaar, good food and good connecting as well as several exciting additions. WE HOPE TO SEE YOU ON FEBRUARY 8TH!!
